HELP!!!!!!

We are in need of drivers!!!

To all Veterans

The VA Shuttle Van runs Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
This shuttle is available to all veterans who have an appointment at the VA Hospital in Phoenix.
It leaves the VFW at 6:30AM and arrives in Phoenix at approximately 10:00AM.
It also will stop in Heber/Overgaarde to pick up patients.  It always stops in Payson for a regular rest stop and pick up.

It leaves Phoenix as soon as all patients appointments have been completed and NO later than 2PM.
If you would like to take advantage of this service, please call
928-532-1069 ext. 3730
Monday thru Friday between 8AM and 4PM. Please note, we do NOT check messages on the weekends.
This is a message service, so be prepared to leave your name, last 4 digits of you social security number,
time and date of your appointment, and your phone number.  Someone will call you back and confirm your appointments.

Also, if anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer driver for this service,  please contact me.
If you do volunteer, it would be up to you how often you would drive.
Some of my drivers go once a month and some go twice a month.  One goes once a week, so as you can see
it's a very flexible schedule.   I have information packets available to let you know the requirements to become a driver.
This is a very important service and is greatly appreciated by all the veterans that use it.
You can leave a message on the shuttle line and I will call
you back.  Again the number is
928-532-1069 ext. 3730.

Your pennies can help fight cancer.  Each year the VFW Ladies Auxiliary sponsors a program, Aid For Cancer Research.  In our Canteen is a donation can specifically for this project.  All they ask is that those pennies that are sitting on the dresser, or in a jar waiting to be rolled, be put in that can for Cancer Research.   The Ladies Auxiliary Cancer Research Chairman will be happy to roll those pennies and get them into the bank to aid in the fight against cancer.

If you know a soldier serving overseas please give us there name and address and we will be happy to send them a box.

You can also help us fill the boxes by donating needed items listed below.   Remember, we send individual size items so we can pack many things into each box.  All donations can be dropped off at the Post.
